Who holds your data

Students of the Game, for the purpose of running its golf events.

What we collect

• Your name and email address, so we know who is playing.
• Your phone number, if you give it. Optional, and used only to reach you about the event.
• Your handicap and which tees you play, to work out your scores.
• Your scores, team and results.
• A record that you paid, how much, and when. Card details go straight to Stripe and never reach us.

What we do with it

Run the event: build tee sheets, score rounds, publish leaderboards, award prizes, and contact you about the event you entered.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with sponsors. Sponsors appear on scorecards and leaderboards; they do not receive who you are.

What is public

Event leaderboards are public to anyone with the link, and show player and team names alongside scores. That is the nature of a published result. Your email address, phone number and payment records are never shown publicly.

Who else sees it

• Event organizers, who need it to run the day.
• Stripe, which processes payments.
• Our email provider, to deliver the mail we send you.
• Our hosting and database providers, which store the data.

How long we keep it

Results and the events they belong to are kept as a record of what was played. Payment records are kept as long as required for the charity's accounts.

Your choices

You can see and change your details any time on your profile. To request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it, contact the event organizer. Deleting your account does not remove the scores of a round already played or the record of a payment already made.
