Terms of entry

Who you are paying

Entry fees are collected by Students of the Game. Students of the Game appears on your card statement. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card details.

What an entry buys

One place in the event you registered for, in the competition you chose. Each player pays their own entry, whether entering alone or as part of a team. Your place is confirmed when payment clears, not when you submit the form.

Refunds

Entries are non-refundable, including for withdrawal, injury, weather affecting your own round, or not turning up.

The exception is cancellation of the whole event by the organizer, in which case every entry is refunded.

You may transfer your place to another player by arrangement with the organizer before the event.

Teams and partners

If you register a team, your partner joins using the invite code you send them and pays their own entry. A team is complete when both entries are paid. Anyone holding your invite code can take the place, so send it only to the person you intend to play with. You can generate a new code, which cancels the old one.

Places and capacity

Places are limited and are counted when payment is confirmed. On rare occasions more entries may be confirmed than places advertised; the organizer will contact you directly if that affects you.

Play

Format, handicap allowances and eligibility for each competition are set by the organizer and shown when you register. The organizer's decision on scoring, ties and eligibility is final. Handicaps you enter are a starting point; the organizer sets the course handicap you actually play off.

Your data

See our privacy policy. In short: we collect what is needed to run the event, and we do not sell it.
